- 1 cup canola oil
- ½ pound bacon
- 2 lbs of Pomponio Ranch ground beef made into 8 patties
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Hot sauce
- 4 hamburger buns – preferably brioche or bakery buns
- 8 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 2 cups leaf lettuce, rinsed and patted dry
- 2 large beefsteak tomatoes, sliced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
Directions:
Step 1: Slice the onions very thin crosswise so you have thin onion rings.
Step 2: Toss in flour then fry in hot canola oil. Fry until crisp, stirring often.
Step 3: Set aside on paper towel and season with a little salt and pepper.
Step 4: Place the bacon on a cookie tray and bake at 350 for about 15 minutes or until crisp. Step 5: Drain the oil and set bacon aside on a paper towel on a plate.
Step 6: Grill the burgers until they are your desired temperature. For medium rare about 4 min each side
Now it’s time to assemble your creation:
Step 1: Place the bun bottoms on the plates and divide the mayonnaise between the buns.
Step 3: Add lettuce, tomato, one burger patty and then a slice of cheese
Step 5: Add more lettuce, the 2nd cooked burger patty and more cheese
Step 6: Top with crispy onion rings, bacon and ketchup.
Enjoy!
